Personal Commentary on Couponing!

I think coupons are awesome. Most people in Canada are on a limited income. When I walk into a store I am unable to afford 99% of the products. If Proctor and Gamble offers a $1-$5 coupon to try one of their products, the product is on sale, you have always wanted to try the product and you have a need, use your coupon and be proud. Proctor and Gamble is a multi-billion dollar corporation. The have research teams trying new ways to earn more of your money. They know that if they can get you to try one of their products you may become a loyal purchaser. Unfortunately, not all store cashiers are able to understand this concept. I have witnessed cashiers that really appreciate coupon shoppers. They make the comments like, "you are the best coupon shopper ever", "how do I find these coupons?", "way to go, you saved so much money". Other cashiers however think that you are cheap and costing the store money. They do not understand that it takes time to save money, it takes time to earn money, a dollar saved is a $1.30 earned, a dollar saved from a multi-billion dollar corporation stays in the community, and the multi-billion dollar corporation pays them the exact value of the coupon. They actually earn more because they sell more. Maybe one day everyone will be of the same conscientiousness. Until then share positive energy towards those because we all matter, we are all important and we are all doing our best!

Optimism!

Hi everyone,

I've been monitoring the deals for you. I like letting you all know the great deals available. In the mean time here are a couple tips:

1. Extra Foods - Yes, Safeway - No, -> Save your hard earned dollars.
2. Monitor your weekly flyers that arrive on Thursdays.
3. Use coupons, especially when items are on sale.
4. Eat at home
5. Take a home made lunch to work.
6. Read blogs: Budgeting, couponing, cooking, self-development, etc.
7. Help a friend. Someone will help you when you need it.
8. I could make this list go on forever. Until then watch this one minute video on "optimism".
